About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinics. This is a contracted position where you will work with patients aged five and above. You will have the flexibility to set your own working hours. Our offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments, with additional opportunities to work via telemedicine from Friday through Sunday. You may choose to work up to 50% remotely from the start of your employment.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for various mental health conditions.
- Deliver different modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services provided.
- Pursue continuing education to stay current with advancements in the field.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or proof that you are in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based in The Villages, Florida.
- Work modality options include on-site, remote, or hybrid.
- Compensation is $35 to $40 per billable hour.
