About the role#
Wayside Youth & Family Support Network offers clinical internship opportunities for second and final year Master level students. This role provides experience in community-based interventions, including Intensive Care Coordination, Mobile Crisis Intervention, In-Home Therapy, and Outpatient therapy. Interns work in a team environment and receive supervision from LICSWs, LMHCs, and LMFTs. This is a paid position with a stipend of $5,000 per year for final year students, plus an additional $1,000 for those with language skills in Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole.
What you'll do#
- Perform intakes and clinical assessments.
- Develop and implement treatment plans and individual care plans.
- Provide follow-up care and ongoing treatment.
- Coordinate care for families and individuals by identifying resources and services.
- Collaborate with various systems and providers.
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings and intern seminars.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a second or final year Master level student.
- Availability for at least 20 hours per week, including two evenings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working in diverse settings, including offices, home visits, and community meetings.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for community travel.
- Completion of a CORI check and Wayside's Pre-service Orientation.
- A background in health and human services or a related field is preferred.
