About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic in Hallandale Beach. This is a full-time, paid position for individuals pursuing careers in mental health. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own hours.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and strategies.
- Document all services according to company policies.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Hallandale Beach, Florida.
- The position is on-site with an option to work 50 percent via telemedicine.
- Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth visits, with additional telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
