About the role#
Springs Window Fashions is looking for an intern to join our Environmental Health and Safety team for the summer of 2027. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site at our Middleton, Wisconsin headquarters. You will work on project support and gain experience in the manufacturing sector through cross-functional collaboration and hands-on plant assessments.
What you'll do#
- Support the standardization of SOPs, JHA/JSA, and Kaizen events.
- Complete hazard analysis and SOPs for all plant functions.
- Assist with SafeStart implementation and ErgoFactor ergonomic projects.
- Conduct plant assessments to support EHS maturity and gap analysis.
- Collaborate with business units to identify vendor sustainability needs.
- Build a training program for office and sales teams covering office safety, fire hazard prevention, and basic safety needs.
- Assist with greenhouse gas tracking and standardized reporting methods.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program, ideally as a Sophomore or Junior.
- Preferred majors include Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Health Administration, or Public Health.
- Previous internship experience in a relevant function is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
