About the role#
This internship offers a chance to build relationships with employees in an industrial setting. You will work with the same team members over the summer, allowing you to track health progress and provide consistent support. This role focuses on occupational health and safety within our manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with employee health screenings, medical surveillance, and pre-employment evaluations.
- Support occupational health staff with basic care, first aid, and wellness education.
- Conduct supervised testing and documentation to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Manage and track workplace injuries, worker compensation cases, and related records.
- Organize and maintain clinical supplies, equipment, and medical records.
- Collaborate with medical professionals and safety teams to support workplace health.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ASN or BSN nursing program.
- Basic knowledge of patient care and clinical procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow strict compliance protocols.
- Organized approach with attention to detail and documentation.
