About the role#
This is an on-site, paid student worker position for those currently enrolled at the university. This role is a good fit for students studying Nursing, Public Health, Nutrition, Kinesiology, or Business Administration who want to build experience in food service and hospitality.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Set up workstations, including service counters and steam tables.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize work areas.
- Serve food to customers and ensure their needs are met.
- Replenish food items to keep stock at appropriate levels.
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide helpful customer service.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment.
