About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the water and wastewater engineering discipline. You will work on municipal and industrial projects, including water treatment plants, lift stations, and distribution systems. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer to support project planning and design.
What you'll do#
- Prepare plans, designs, specifications, and cost estimates for infrastructure projects.
- Perform calculations for water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
- Conduct field investigations and site visits to verify existing conditions.
- Coordinate directly with equipment suppliers and material manufacturers.
- Document and observe construction operations to assist with project delivery.
- Draft technical memoranda, letters, and reports while maintaining project records.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil or Environmental Engineering program.
- Completion of your sophomore year of study.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
