About the role#
Hanson Professional Services Inc. is hiring for a 2027 Aviation Civil Engineering internship. This role focuses on the development and maintenance of airport facilities. You will work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer to gain hands-on experience in the aviation discipline.
What you'll do#
- Prepare construction documents, including plans and material specifications.
- Calculate plan quantities and cost estimates.
- Collect and assemble data for engineering and environmental reports.
- Perform calculations related to surveying, geotechnical testing, and pipe inspections.
- Use software such as AutoCAD and Civil3D for surface drainage and culvert design.
- Conduct field investigations and assist with site surveys.
- Document construction operations and write technical memoranda or reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited civil engineering program.
- Completion of at least 60 hours of coursework applicable to your degree.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, or GIS.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license.
