About the role#
Halff is hiring an intern for our Water and Wastewater team. You will work on civil engineering projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer. This internship runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects and perform calculations for design work.
- Assist with drainage and stormwater analysis.
- Support Water and Wastewater Utility projects, including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, and construction.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water Resources projects.
- Perform drafting CAD work.
- Help prepare permit applications and regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with team members like surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent degree.
- Experience with HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS.
- Strong organization skills and a self-motivated approach.
- Great communication skills.
- Solid relationship and team building skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Richardson, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, 8a to 5p.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Please note that Halff does not provide or pay for housing.
