About the role#
This position is open exclusively to former HNTB interns. You will work on-site in Los Angeles during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid internship focused on structural engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Complete assigned tasks within the established schedule and hours.
- Support the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
- Assist with the creation of project quantity and cost estimates.
- Provide administrative support to engineering teams by organizing design files.
- Help the team with research, data collection, field investigations, and project development.
- Handle other duties as assigned by the project team.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- A solid understanding of engineering principles relevant to structural work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar design software.
- A Master's degree in Engineering is preferred.
- An Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
- Prior knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD is preferred.
