About the role#
We are looking for a Public Works Intern to join our team in Corpus Christi. This is a full-time, paid internship running from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027. You will work 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8a to 5p.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Public Works and Transportation projects.
- Perform drafting CAD work and run calculations for design projects.
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with team members including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree.
- You have strong communication skills.
- You work well within a team and build solid professional relationships.
- You are self-motivated and organized.
