About the role#
Halff is hiring a Structural Intern for our Richardson, Texas office. This full-time internship runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027. You will work 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
- Support the team with CAD drafting work.
- Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
- Prepare permit applications and other regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET-accredited equivalent engineering degree.
- Strong communication, relationship, and team-building skills.
- Self-motivation and solid organizational abilities.
