About the role#
Halff is hiring an intern for the Public Works team in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, paid position running from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027. You will work on-site, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Assist in preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Public Works and Transportation projects.
- Perform CAD drafting work.
- Complete calculations and analysis for design projects.
- Prepare permit applications and other regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work well within a team.
- Self-motivation and organizational skills.

- The role is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
- This is an on-site internship.
