About the role#
Halff is hiring an intern for our Planning and Landscape Architecture team in Houston. You will work with an interdisciplinary team of planners, engineers, and landscape architects on a variety of projects. These include comprehensive plans, mobility and trail planning, active transportation, and urban design. This is a full-time position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support senior staff on various projects and public engagement efforts.
- Assist with plan development, report writing, and document production.
- Prepare computer-generated maps and graphic elements to convey planning ideas.
- Collaborate with team members to help communities plan for their future.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program for community or urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or a related field.
- Strong communication, relationship, and team building skills.
- Self-motivation and organizational ability.
- Experience or interest in learning ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office.
Location & details#
- Location: Houston, Texas.
- Term: June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, 8a to 5p.
- Compensation: This is a paid, on-site internship.
