About the role#
GlobalFoundries is seeking Process and Equipment Engineering interns for our 300mm factory in Malta, New York. This is a paid, full-time opportunity for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced engineers to improve factory operations and support our manufacturing goals.
What you'll do#
- Reduce variability in process recovery procedures.
- Identify and detect manufacturing problems earlier.
- Lower the cost of chemicals and qualification wafers.
- Standardize processes across similar equipment.
- Lead improvement projects and present your findings to the team.
- Collaborate with equipment technicians, managers, and production staff.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and security protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore in a Bachelor program for Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, or Materials Science.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week on-site.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- A strong interest in using AI tools to support your work.
