About the role#
Geotab is seeking a Vehicle Systems Engineering Intern to focus on vehicle support by researching new vehicles, reverse engineering their systems, and automating processes with software tools. You will work across teams to gain access to vehicles and contribute to the global reverse engineering vision. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Reverse engineer vehicular systems, including electrical, hardware, and communications protocols.
- Document and design methods to collect vehicle data in a way that is digestible by hardware and software teams.
- Use Cloud-based data warehouses for automated analysis of vehicle data to identify support gaps.
- Assist in the product development cycle through proof of concepts and the execution of beta testing.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree or diploma in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to pick up new programming languages quickly.
- Good understanding of vehicle architectures, including hybrid and electric vehicles.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
