About the role#
As a Software Developer Intern on the back-end team, you will contribute to the design, development, and support of new and existing software applications. You will work alongside experienced team members to build middle tier services and database components. Our goal is to provide you with projects that align with your interests and skills while you gain practical experience in a professional software development environment.
What you'll do#
- Develop middle tier services and work with databases using SQL.
- Build high performance applications using storage procedures.
- Participate in gathering user requirements and translating problems into software solutions.
- Use development tools and processes such as Jira and Git.
- Participate in testing processes and frameworks to ensure high quality software.
- Learn and apply various back-end technologies throughout your internship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering program.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and database fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle concepts.
- Strong math, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
- Programming knowledge in at least one of the following: C#, C++, Java, or SQL.
- Curiosity and a desire to learn as part of a team.
- Familiarity with the following is preferred: software performance and scalability, profiling tools, performance and load testing tools, scripting, microservices, operating systems, computer architecture.NET, C#, and IOT protocols.
