About the role#
SOTI is hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist Intern for the SOTI Connect team. This full-time position is based in our Mississauga office for the Winter 2027 term. You will work within agile development teams to help shape our product offerings while gaining experience in software testing and quality assurance.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop test plans and test cases based on software requirements.
- Create and maintain test coverage for our web and mobile applications.
- Prioritize testing tasks and scenarios.
- Track and report on testing activities throughout the development cycle.
- Conduct various types of testing to support feature development and releases.
- Follow QA process improvements to ensure consistency across product lines.
- Work collaboratively with other test teams in a quality-focused environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program for Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and database fundamentals.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic programming knowledge in at least one of these languages: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Ruby, Rust, Lua, or Haskell.
- Understanding of test strategies, planning, and test case execution.
- Knowledge of web and mobile application testing, web services, the OSI model, and TCP/IP networking.
- A curious mindset and the ability to work well in a team setting.
