About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will join our team in Mississauga to work on real-world AI and Machine Learning initiatives. This role is hybrid.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with experienced Data Scientists and Engineers on enterprise products.
- Contribute to projects involving Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning.
- Explore emerging AI technologies and learn how they are integrated into large-scale products.
- Apply Generative AI to solve business problems, such as intelligent automation and conversational interfaces.
- Learn how different roles, including Product Management and Quality Assurance, work together to deliver software.
- Gain experience with software development tools like Git and Jira.
- Understand how user requirements are translated into software solutions and the testing frameworks used to ensure quality.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Data Science, or Mathematics program.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and database fundamentals.
- Strong basics in Data Science, Machine Learning, and NLP.
- Familiarity with NLP concepts like vector spaces, embeddings, regression, and classification.
- Awareness of Generative AI concepts including RAG and evaluation metrics.
- Basic knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Ruby, Rust, Lua, or Haskell.
- Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- A curious mindset and a desire to work in a team environment.
