About the role#
Geotab is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to join our team for an 8-month term starting in January 2027. You will work with large datasets to uncover patterns, identify correlations, and solve business problems. This role involves collaborating with the Business Transformation team and other departments to translate technical findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design and maintenance of data systems and databases using statistical tools.
- Build and review statistical, predictive, and machine learning models.
- Ensure data quality throughout sourcing, generation, normalization, and transformation processes.
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, and dashboards.
- Create data-driven stories and present them to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Use SQL and Python to interact with big data infrastructure.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience as a Data Analyst or a demonstrated career path in Data Analytics or Data Science.
- Technical experience using SQL, Python, or Google BigQuery.
- Proficiency with software programs, including Google Suite for business.
- Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.

- Locations: Oakville, Ontario or Toronto, Ontario.
- Term: Winter 2027 (8+ months).
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship (37.5 hours per week).
- Compensation: $24, $36 CAD per hour.
