About the role#
Autodesk is looking for a creative technologist intern to join our team in Montreal. This role focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and the film, television, and game industries. You will work on visual and deep learning projects while gaining experience in computer vision and computer graphics.
What you'll do#
- Prototype and develop AI techniques that assist in the production of 3D graphics, video, games, and visual effects.
- Apply computer vision and graphics algorithms to improve production efficiency or artistic quality.
- Develop predictive models for analysis solutions using machine learning.
- Extend existing machine learning libraries and frameworks.
- Monitor current advances in AI research and production to support company projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (with an AI minor), or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. A Ph.D. is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in C, C++, or Python.
- Experience with 3D geometry, computer graphics, or computer vision.
- Familiarity with 3D software packages including Blender, Houdini, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Autodesk Media and Entertainment products.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks, specifically PyTorch or Tensorflow.
- A research background in computer vision, machine learning, or video processing is a plus.

- Term: Summer 2027 (16 weeks, from January 4th to April 23rd).
