About the role#
Geotab is seeking a Data Scientist Intern to join our team for a 4-month term beginning in January 2027. This is a full-time, paid position working 37.5 hours per week. You will work alongside data scientists, product managers, and other technical professionals to explore data and support product development.
What you'll do#
- Design and build metrics and data models using prototypes, algorithms, and predictive models.
- Analyze trends to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Pull data sets and create presentations and visualizations for strategic customers.
- Assist in dashboarding and visualizations for coverage and accuracy metrics.
- Generate queries using Big Data Infrastructure from our data warehousing database.
- Test the performance of data-driven products and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Participate in the sprint development and review cycle within your assigned team.
What you'll need#
- Currently working towards a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Experience with SQL and Python.
- Experience using a BI platform such as Looker, PowerBI, or Superset.
- Interest or experience in sensor data and data cleaning.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
