    About the role#

    This internship provides practical exposure to facilities maintenance within the defense manufacturing industry. You will work alongside engineers, project managers, and trade personnel to support ongoing operations. The role focuses on coordinating vendor projects and ensuring work scopes align with site requirements.

    What you'll do#

    • Coordinate vendor projects and manage project work scopes.
    • Monitor project site safety to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
    • Maintain project schedules by communicating with vendors and internal staff.
    • Support the vendor on-boarding process and manage security requirements.
    • Assist in resolving emergent issues using independent judgment and initiative.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment as a full-time student in a Bachelor or Masters program for Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
    • Completion of at least your Freshman year before the internship starts.
    • US citizenship and the ability to pass a medically supervised drug screen and background check.
    • Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least eight consecutive weeks between May 2027 and September 2027.
    • Age 18 or older.
    • Experience in facilities construction, site management, submarine manufacturing, or program management is preferred.
    • Familiarity with Excel, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD is helpful.

    Location & details#

    • This is an on-site role based in Groton, CT or New London, CT.
    • Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
    • This position is paid and requires a full-time commitment.
