About the role#
The Corporate Accounting Intern joins the corporate accounting team to assist with financial tasks, consolidation, and reporting. You will gain exposure to various functions within the organization while supporting month-end close processes and business initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Provide daily updates on subsidiary financial submissions and track the monthly close scorecard.
- Map new subsidiary trial balance accounts into the consolidation structure.
- Prepare monthly consolidation elimination journal entries and post to corporate ledgers.
- Participate in monthly subsidiary financial statement reviews.
- Assist with 10-Q and 10-K SEC filing processes.
- Support inventory count reviews, statutory reports, and audit requests.
- Complete Bureau of Economic Analysis reporting forms.
- Help with the financial integration of newly acquired companies and track capital contributions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor program with an emphasis on Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Sophomore year status or higher.
- Ability to work 10 hours per week during the school year.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
