About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Generac cost accounting department. You will support ongoing and project-based activities, gaining a practical understanding of product costing within a large public company. The role is full-time, with the possibility of continuing part-time hours during the school year.
What you'll do#
- Support the Cost Accounting team with daily and monthly close activities.
- Review new product creations and raw material additions for data and costing accuracy.
- Identify and review purchase price variances and work toward their resolution.
- Prepare and distribute labor reports to production plants.
- Analyze cycle count and scrapping adjustments to maintain SOX compliance.
- Improve cost roll analysis for business group partners.
- Assist with various special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's program focused on Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Sophomore status or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple demands.
