    About the role#

    The Lab Technician Intern supports the engineering team in the development, testing, and validation of clean energy hardware products. This is an on-site, full-time role based in Santa Monica, California, providing hands-on experience with hardware prototypes and lab operations.

    What you'll do#

    • Support hardware testing, prototyping, and validation activities for the clean energy product line.
    • Set up, operate, and maintain lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and electronic loads.
    • Build cables, harnesses, and test fixtures to support validation efforts.
    • Conduct hardware tests on prototypes under the supervision of experienced engineers.
    • Document test setups, procedures, and results with accuracy and consistency.
    • Assist in troubleshooting hardware issues and identifying root causes.
    • Maintain lab organization, equipment calibration logs, and inventory.
    • Follow lab safety protocols, including the handling of electrical equipment and high-voltage systems.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related technical field.
    • Coursework or hands-on experience with basic electronics, circuits, or electrical systems.
    • Familiarity with common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
    • Proficiency with hand tools, soldering, and assembling electrical components.
    • Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
    • Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures in a technical environment.
    • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

    • Location: Santa Monica, California.
    • Modality: On-site, 5 days per week.
    • Status: Full-time internship.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position.
