About the role#
The PTQ Project Management Office Intern will report to a Senior Program/Project Manager. This role supports the implementation of projects that strengthen quality and compliance capabilities. You will work across global, matrixed teams to support initiatives that embed regulatory compliance, GMP standards, and digital enablement. This is a 6-month, full-time internship starting in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the management of projects and portfolios.
- Prepare data to help projects deliver systemic change and measurable value.
- Contribute to the digital transformation and continuous improvement of the PTQ Project Management Office.
- Assist in the planning, mobilization, execution, and delivery of PMO initiatives.
- Support the adoption of new processes, systems, and digital enablers.
- Participate in workshops, agile sprints, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Handle other priorities as assigned by the Head of the PTQ Project Management Office.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in leadership, such as building or guiding a team or project.
- Proficiency with collaboration and productivity tools.
- Ability to work with a global team and collaborate with scientists, engineers, business analysts, and consultants.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to intake and synthesize information.
- Ability to use quantitative and qualitative approaches to solve business problems.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile fundamentals is preferred.
- Cross-cultural experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management acumen.
Location & details#
- Location: South San Francisco, California.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Duration: 6 months, starting January 2027.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with an hourly range of $25.00 to $52.00, plus paid holiday time off. A stipend is provided to help with costs.
