About the role#
This internship position joins the Quality Control team in Hillsboro as a business analyst. You will support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and performance. This is a full-time, paid, six-month internship beginning in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Participate in QC improvement meetings and support structured problem solving initiatives.
- Attend daily cross-functional meetings to assist with product testing, environmental testing, and equipment maintenance.
- Design, collect, and analyze process data to help the team understand capacity and performance.
- Build tools and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators and identify trends.
- Map Quality Control workflows to identify waste and improvement opportunities.
- Support 5S and Lean initiatives in the laboratory, including material flow and process simplification.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program.
- Degree in Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience in Process Development, Quality Control, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Technical Services.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to spot trends.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Lean, Agile, or the Toyota Production System is preferred.
- Familiarity with cGMPs or experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is a plus.

- Location: Hillsboro, Oregon.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027 (starts in January).
- Employment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: Paid position with a stipend and paid holiday time off.
