About the role#
The Analyst Development Program is a two-year rotational track within the CFO organization. You will join a cohort designed to build your skills in accounting and finance. The program includes three separate rotational roles to provide broad exposure to the Controllers group, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax. You will receive mentorship from peers and senior leaders throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Partner with business stakeholders to analyze results and recommend future investment decisions.
- Gain broad exposure across the Controllers group to develop a foundational accounting skillset.
- Build a deep understanding of GEICO accounting and tax systems, including data and integration points.
- Make a direct impact on the company's financial and strategic performance.
- Complete three separate analyst rotational roles over the two-year program.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, to be obtained by May 2027.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Demonstrated interest in the finance field through internship experience, student organizations, or relevant coursework.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of GAAP reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship program starting in Summer 2026.
- Roles are based in Bethesda, Maryland, or New York City, New York.
- The work modality is hybrid, requiring at least three days per week in the office.
