About the role#
The Calista Year-Round Internship Program offers Shareholders and Descendants hands-on work experience. This program runs for 10 weeks and helps participants connect their academic studies to potential career paths within the Calista family of companies. Interns build professional skills and expand their networks through corporate departments and subsidiary businesses.
What you'll do#
- Learn the vision, mission, and core values of Calista.
- Participate in meaningful and challenging work projects.
- Develop professional skills including communication and teamwork.
- Connect with mentors and build professional relationships.
- Attend weekly events to learn about ANCSA, corporate leadership, and Yup'ik culture.
What you'll need#
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Status as a Calista Shareholder or Descendant.
- Currently enrolled in school or a recent graduate.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- A strong interest in learning and professional networking.
- Majors considered include Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Criminal Justice, and various Engineering fields (Environmental, Civil, Aerospace, Mechanical).
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site program.
- Locations include Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska, as well as Huntsville, Alabama.
- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
