About the role#
The Technology Development Program is a two-year cohort for AI Engineer development. This internship is for Summer 2026. You will gain technical experience, mentorship, and exposure to AI strategy while helping GEICO transition into an AI-first business.
What you'll do#
- Work with cross-functional teams throughout the software lifecycle, including design sessions, code reviews, and scrum meetings.
- Influence product definition by working directly with user requirements.
- Design, build, and troubleshoot scalable and resilient AI systems.
- Develop and operate AI infrastructure and enterprise-critical AI solutions.
- Contribute to business initiatives that improve efficiency and the customer experience.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a relevant engineering major, with an expected graduation date by May 2027.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Advanced coursework and hands-on experience with at least one modern language, such as Java or Python.
- A strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and core computer science concepts.
- Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development lifecycle, including source code, building, deployment, and operations.
