About the role#
GE is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern to support site safety programs and compliance initiatives. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in La Prairie, Quebec. The role involves working closely with various departments to maintain safety standards and manage hazardous materials.
What you'll do#
- Support the implementation of site safety programs and assist with corrective actions.
- Write safety procedures and conduct training sessions.
- Update the hazardous materials inventory by department and maintain safety data sheet binders.
- Develop an audit grid for the storage and use of hazardous materials.
- Create and maintain a compliance calendar to track key deadlines and regulatory changes.
- Develop an inspection grid and conduct workplace safety inspections alongside department teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Environmental Engineering, Public Health, or Nursing.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Bilingual proficiency.
