About the role#
As a Fleet Issue Risk Intern, you will join the HDNU Global Site Issue Management team. This role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and tracking technical and operational risks that affect our power fleet. You will gain hands-on experience in risk assessment and cross-functional problem-solving while contributing to projects that improve the safety, reliability, and sustainability of our units.
What you'll do#
- Collect, organize, and analyze fleet performance, maintenance, and incident data to detect trends.
- Develop risk rankings based on severity, likelihood, and business impact.
- Create reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Support decision-making for issue containment and long-term corrective actions.
- Maintain operational tools and build automation to simplify repetitive tasks.
- Monitor the status of corrective and preventive actions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Economics, or Industrial Engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Practical experience with data analytics tools like Excel, Smartsheet, or BI software.
- Experience in developing digital or automation tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex problems clearly.
