About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Software Development Intern for the summer of 2027. This position focuses on developing complex systems using various object-oriented programming languages. You will work on-site in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, and participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications for complex systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code to improve performance and efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Experience with C++, C, Java, Python, Ada, or related programming tools and languages.
- Active U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
