About the role#
This summer internship offers the opportunity to contribute to research and development projects focused on cyber and electromagnetic warfare operations. You will work within a team dedicated to solving complex technical problems for the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance, which necessitates U.S. citizenship.
What you'll do#
- Develop next-generation cyber capabilities and investigate new types of cyber physical systems.
- Create exploits, implants, payloads, and communication stacks through reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, and software development.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to solve challenging technical problems.
- Participate in laboratory and field tests to collect data, analyze results, and demonstrate new capabilities.
- Operationalize software through testing, documentation, and system integration.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week during the summer of 2027.
- Proficiency in C, C++, or Python.
- Practical experience with reverse engineering tools such as IDA, Ghidra, or BinaryNinja.
- Understanding of security fundamentals, including cryptography and the principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

- Location: Columbia, Maryland.
- Work Modality: This is an on-site position. Commuting is the responsibility of the employee.
- Commitment: This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
