About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Mechanical Engineering Internship within the Hot Section Engineering department at Pratt & Whitney. This role is based on-site in East Hartford, Connecticut, for the Summer 2027 term. U.S. citizenship is required for this position to access necessary systems.
What you'll do#
- Serve as an active member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT).
- Identify project challenges, recommend resolutions, and ensure successful project completion.
- Facilitate tasks across various functional organizations to maintain alignment with project objectives.
- Prepare and present technical content and status updates to IPT and CIPT leadership.
- Gain hands-on aerospace experience and develop applied engineering skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Experience with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and prioritize tasks.
- Experience may be derived from coursework, research, projects, or previous work.
