About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Software Engineering Internship for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role is intended for students who have previously completed an internship with the company.
What you'll do#
- Develop embedded software, networking, and communication products for defense systems.
- Assist in debugging and troubleshooting software issues within a collaborative environment.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams, including hardware and systems engineers.
- Participate in Agile development processes.
- Engage in code reviews and collaborate with experienced software engineers.
- Utilize modern programming languages such as Python, C++, or Rust and version control systems like Git.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Exposure to Linux.
- Exposure to multi-threaded or real-time software.
- Previous internship, co-op, or work experience with the company.
