About the role#
As a Supply Chain Intern, you will join the METEM team at GE Vernova. You will support projects focused on cleaner and more accessible energy. Depending on your background, you may work with Electrical Discharge Machining, Fast Hole Drilling, or Electrochemical Machining. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Parsippany, New Jersey.
What you'll do#
- Drive business priorities for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Manage out-of-flow inventory including braze repairs and re-coat processes.
- Implement and sustain Built-in-Quality standards for your assigned product portfolio.
- Reduce defects, scrap, and rework through daily management and problem solving.
- Work with Design Liaison Engineers to manage the Material Review Board process.
- Lead continuous improvement projects within the Manufacturing and Quality departments.
- Maintain Quality Management System procedures and perform audits.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program.
- A major in Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, Material Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- You must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. Government export restrictions.
