About the role#
Flowserve is hiring an Engineering Co-op and Operations Intern for our facility in West Chicago. You will gain experience in the rotating equipment repair industry by supporting our operations team and working on various technical projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with order acquisition and fulfillment to maintain a positive customer experience.
- Support the manufacturing team on cost reduction and process improvement projects.
- Partner with regional operations leadership to develop standardization initiatives.
- Build your knowledge of pump and mechanical seal fundamentals.
- Research and collect serial number-specific equipment data based on customer requirements.
- Create technical customer-facing job reports and as-found condition reports.
- Document and update records and drawings for equipment upgrades.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or related degree program in good standing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to stay focused on tasks and work well within a team.
- Comfort working in a shop environment is preferred.
- Experience with SolidWorks is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: West Chicago, Illinois.
- Term: Winter 2026 (January to August 2026 preferred).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday.
- This is a paid position.
