About the role#
This Engineering Co-op role supports technical projects and daily operations at Flowserve. You will work on design, analysis, documentation, testing, and project coordination. Opportunities exist across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams depending on business needs and your specific interests.
What you'll do#
- Support the End-User Aftermarket Application Engineering team and local Sales Engineers with mechanical seals, seal support systems, and pumps.
- Learn the fundamentals of pump and mechanical seal operations.
- Assist the manufacturing team with cost reduction and process improvement projects.
- Collaborate with regional operations leadership on standardization initiatives.
- Research equipment specifications to meet customer requirements.
- Draft technical reports for customers, including final job reports and as-found condition reports.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Technology degree program.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working in office, laboratory, and manufacturing settings.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with SolidWorks is a plus.
- Ability to use measuring tools like dial calipers and micrometers is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid co-op position located in Houston, Texas.
