About the role#
The Undergraduate Engineering Intern works on technical projects and daily operations. You will support design, analysis, documentation, testing, and project coordination. This internship includes hands-on training with field experts and a professional development program. Assignments vary based on business needs and your interests. You may work within engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality, or project teams.
What you'll do#
- Support technical design and documentation tasks, such as CAD models, drawings, and bills of materials.
- Collect and analyze data, review test results, identify trends, and prepare reports.
- Assist engineering laboratories, manufacturing, and shop-floor teams with testing and production support.
- Contribute to quality, safety, root-cause problem solving, and process standardization.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, materials, and project management teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree program for Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Status as an undergraduate student entering your junior or senior year in the fall following the internship.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working in laboratory and manufacturing settings.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role requires on-site work.
- Locations include Irving, Texas; Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; Kalamazoo, Michigan; Chesapeake, Virginia; Lynchburg, Virginia; Taneytown, Maryland; Raleigh, North Carolina; Houston, Texas; and Springville, Utah.
