    About the role#

    GE Vernova is hiring a Hardware Engineering Intern for our critical infrastructure communications team. This role is based in Rochester, New York, and is available for the Spring or Summer 2027 terms. You will work on-site at our manufacturing plant, gaining exposure to industrialization while applying your electrical engineering skills to real-world hardware design.

    What you'll do#

    • Apply electrical engineering principles to hardware design projects.
    • Develop products for sectors including energy, oil and gas, mining, water, and transportation.
    • Report status and progress to project management.
    • Estimate the time required to implement features and resolve technical issues.
    • Use your academic background to complete assigned projects and deliver results.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a full-time, accredited baccalaureate or graduate program in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
    • Completion of at least two full years of college.
    • A minimum 3.0 GPA.
    • Ability to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
