About the role#
Danfoss is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for the 2026-2027 school year at our Plymouth, Minnesota site. This is a part-time role requiring approximately 20 hours per week. You will work on-site and participate in electrical design, analysis, and testing projects.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering skills to electrical design, analysis, and problem solving.
- Conduct product functional testing and product analysis.
- Perform qualification testing on finished products, including EMC, ESD, electrical transient, and HALT testing.
- Create engineering documentation.
- Perform schematic design using engineering principles and math concepts.
- Create PCB layouts, including managing traces, vias, planes, and component placement.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering program with Junior status or higher.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Experience with digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, PC data acquisition hardware, inspection equipment, signal generators, and power supplies.
- Strong technical writing and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
