About the role#
As a Power Electronics Engineering Intern at Danfoss Turbocor, you will work on motor drive systems and magnetic bearing electronics for oil-free centrifugal compressors. You will work with experienced engineers to improve energy efficiency for data centers and commercial HVAC systems. This is a hands-on role where you will apply engineering theory to hardware development.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, testing, and validation of power electronic systems.
- Perform laboratory testing and collect data using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electrical measurement tools.
- Build and modify prototypes by soldering components and assembling cables.
- Conduct circuit simulations and analysis to optimize system performance.
- Document findings and prepare technical reports for engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or recent completion of a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of power electronics fundamentals, such as motor drive technologies, IGBTs, MOSFETs, and PWM control.
- Experience with circuit simulation tools like PSpice, PSCAD, or MATLAB.
- Familiarity with electronic components including inductors, capacitors, and transformers.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate technical findings clearly.
