About the role#
As an Electrical Engineer Intern, you will support the laboratory systems used to test and develop industrial machinery. You will work alongside engineers and technicians to ensure reliable testing, accurate data collection, and the smooth operation of critical equipment. This role involves hands-on experience with electrical controls, instrumentation, and maintenance processes.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, maintenance, and documentation of laboratory electrical control systems, including updating technical records and drawings.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation and data acquisition systems used for engineering test data.
- Manage equipment records, calibration schedules, and preventive maintenance plans within the CMMS.
- Assist with equipment inspections, repairs, and general troubleshooting.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient laboratory environment by following established safety, quality, and environmental standards.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- Foundational knowledge of electrical control systems, industrial test equipment, and engineering measurements.
- Understanding of analog sensor signals, specifically 4-20 mA and 1-5 V, and data acquisition concepts.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and learn new technologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
