About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Easley, South Carolina. You will work on-site to gain practical experience in manufacturing processes and assembly line operations. We look for students who are self-driven and ready to solve problems in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Improve assembly line layouts and overall flow.
- Collect and analyze data, including time studies, material flow, and waste analysis.
- Assist with the implementation of new equipment and conduct capability studies.
- Design and install Poka-Yokes to improve line quality.
- Implement manufacturing controls and process improvements.
- Evaluate and improve ergonomics throughout the assembly process.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Agriculture Engineering program. Graduate students are preferred.
- Ability to work full-time hours.
- Experience with basic hand tools.
- Comfort interacting with all levels of the organization, from the shop floor to management.
- CAD and simulation experience are considered a plus.
