About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Mechanical Engineering internship for Summer 2027 based in Loves Park, Illinois. You will work on-site with the product design group to support development tasks, contribute to engineering builds, and assist in vendor procurement processes.
What you'll do#
- Contribute ideas and technical skills to real-world engineering challenges within the design team.
- Support the build and test processes to gain experience in bringing designs to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ongoing product development projects.
- Complete assigned development tasks and provide documentation for engineering reports.
- Assist with part procurement by coordinating with external vendors.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with junior status or higher.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience with solid modeling from concept to final part completion is preferred.
