About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Mechanical Engineering internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will join the product design group at Danfoss in Loves Park, Illinois, to contribute to ongoing product development and engineering challenges. This role is on-site.
What you'll do#
- Contribute ideas and technical skills to real-world engineering projects.
- Support engineering build and test processes to gain hands-on experience with product designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Complete assigned development tasks within the product design group.
- Assist with part procurement by coordinating with external vendors.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with junior status or higher.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects.
- Experience with solid modeling from concept to final part completion is preferred.

- Compensation: $22 to $26 per hour, depending on completed school year.
