About the role#
As a Maintenance Co-op focused on Bobbin Repair, you will work directly with experienced technicians to maintain essential production equipment. This role provides hands-on industrial maintenance experience, allowing you to contribute to factory efficiency and equipment reliability in a manufacturing setting.
What you'll do#
- Inspect production bobbins for wear and tear.
- Diagnose the root cause of equipment issues.
- Repair and rebuild critical bobbin assemblies, including replacing components like bearings and shafts.
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintain detailed records of equipment health.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure repair quality.
- Collaborate with the Production, Maintenance, and Quality departments.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a certificate or Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting hands-on problems.
- Familiarity with common hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings or diagrams.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
