About the role#
As a Maintenance Co-op focused on Bobbin Repair, you will gain hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside experienced technicians to maintain, diagnose, and repair the equipment essential to production operations. This role contributes directly to factory efficiency and equipment reliability.
What you'll do#
- Inspect production bobbins to identify wear and tear.
- Diagnose the root cause of equipment issues.
- Repair and rebuild critical bobbin assemblies by replacing components like bearings and shafts to precise specifications.
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintain detailed records of equipment health.
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Collaborate with the Production, Maintenance, and Quality departments to ensure equipment readiness.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a certificate or Associate's degree program in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve hands-on problems.
- Familiarity with common hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings or diagrams.
- Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.
