About the role#
As a Machine Operator Intern at Aagard, you will work on-site in Alexandria, Minnesota. This is a full-time, paid internship focused on gaining hands-on experience in machinery manufacturing. You will support our production team by operating equipment and ensuring our parts meet high standards.
What you'll do#
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts.
- Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain performance.
- Record part movement, run time, and material usage in the ERP system.
- Inspect machined components against prints and specifications to verify quality.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.
- Change tooling and fixtures to maintain precision.
- Follow all safety policies and keep your work area clean.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering.
- Ability to view and understand CAD drawings.
- Strong prioritization, time management, and attention to detail.
- A highly safety-conscious mindset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks like stooping, kneeling, or climbing.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and barcode scanning is preferred.

- Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour.
