    About the role#

    As a Hardware Automation and Test Engineering Intern, you will join the Critical Infrastructure Communications team. You will work with experts to build test capabilities and support the product development cycle for industrial applications. This role provides hands-on experience with hardware design and the industrialization process.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform hardware and software validation for industrial applications.
    • Contribute to the development of communications products.
    • Design and implement automation frameworks for testing.
    • Participate in industrialization processes at our manufacturing facility.
    • Apply your electrical engineering and test automation skills to real-world projects.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.
    • Completion of at least two years of your degree program.
    • A minimum 3.0 unrounded GPA.
    • Experience with Python, GitHub Actions, and the Robot Framework.
    • Knowledge of Linux OS, shell scripting, and networking fundamentals like TCP/IP.
    • Ability to follow established design principles and development processes.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • A curious and analytical mindset for solving technical problems.

    • Location: Rochester, New York.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Winter 2027 or Summer 2027.
    • Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
